TYPICAL TREATMENT PROGRAMS
Each patient is treated based on individual needs. Therefore treatment programs will vary a fair bit depending on your condition and your response to treatment.
On the 1st visit a history is taken and examination is performed, a tentative diagnosis is made, the diagnosis is explained to you and, if appropriate, treatment will commence with your informed consent.
Subsequent visits - Dr. Sayani checks your spine and utilizes chiropractic adjustment techniques and/or electrotherapy to help you recover or maintain your health. These treatments range from 5 - 15 minutes in length.
Dr. Sayani prefers to treat you as an individual on a case by case basis. She will suggest a treatment program which is appropriate for the response noted in your situation. Of course, in the early stages of care, you may require more treatment and the recommendations Dr. Sayani makes will reflect her best judgement based on her experience with hundreds of patients. No treatment plan at Georgia and Thurlow Chiropractic is carved in stone, which means as you heal and function is restored, your visit schedule will spread out.
If for any reason, or at any time, Dr. Sayani thinks you would be better off to see any other health care practitioner (another chiropractor, medical doctor, dentist, physiotherapist, massage therapist, podiatrist, acupuncturist, fitness trainer, etc.) you will be given the name of someone that she thinks will be able to help you with your condition. She has a wonderful referral base of practitioners who she trust with her own care and will not hesitate to refer you to them!
